Values and Philosophy

At the heart of our work are a few simple guiding principles that shape every part of the therapeutic process:

Commitment to

Growth & Healing

As therapists, we show up to each session invested in your growth as you navigate your path toward transformation and fulfillment.

Integrative,

Whole-Person Approach

We are interested in who you are as a person, beyond your struggles. We look at all realms of your life: Emotional, physical, mental, neurological, spiritual, and cultural.

Client-Centered Care

Every person is unique. Treatment plans are customized to fit your specific needs, goals, challenges, and pace, never one-size-fits-all.

Collaborative & Compassionate Space

We provide a structured, supportive environment where you feel seen, heard, and empowered. You are the expert of your experiences and we are here to walk alongside you toward the life you envision.

Empowerment & Respect for Human Dignity

We believe in your innate wisdom and resilience, that you are enough. And with the right support, healing and growth are always possible.

Focus on Lasting Change

A calm, well-regulated nervous system is the foundation of resilience. By training your brain in a more efficient way of being, it is possible to foster the positive, internal change you seek.

About Me

Angela Wang, MSW RSW

Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist

I’m Angela, a registered social worker with a deep passion for brain health and emotional wellbeing. My work is rooted in recognizing and honoring the powerful connection between the mind and body. I hold a Master of Social Work and an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Toronto.

With years of experience in both research and clinical practice, I specialize in helping individuals regulate their emotions and nervous system. I work with teens, adults, and seniors navigating challenges such as anxiety, agitation, emotional dysregulation, sleep issues, chronic stress, impulsivity, trauma, and more.

My Approach

My practice integrates evidence-based psychotherapy with advanced Neurofeedback techniques including ILF, Beta/SMR, Alpha-Theta, and Synchrony training. This mind-body approach allows us to address the root causes of emotional and physiological distress, not just the symptoms.

Combining Neurofeedback within psychotherapy is a powerful way to facilitate and promote the brain’s natural neuroplasticity and support nervous system regulation. With consistent training, many clients experience:

  • Deeper, more restorative sleep
  • Reduced anxiety and depression
  • Improved focus, attention, and memory
  • Enhanced emotional regulation and resilience
  • Relief from stress-related health challenges, nervous system dysregulation, and autonomic imbalance

I am also Polyvagal-Informed, working with a deep understanding of how the autonomic nervous system shapes our emotional and physical responses. My approach emphasizes creating safety in the therapeutic relationship, supporting co-regulation, and helping clients shift out of survival states like fight, flight, or freeze into a state of connection, calm, and clarity.
